Boss is a Trooper X Duster son who has been an amazing dog to own. His pedigree holds dogs who are important in Golden breed history, and Boss himself is one of the easiest dogs to train I have ever worked with (and I am a dog trainer by trade!). Trooper was an amazing dog, one who JAM’d at Westminster, and who left quite a legacy. Duster was still showing her work ethic by earning her WCX at 9 years of age. Boss has a pedigree that includes amazing longevity as well as fabulous hips, he and the siblings who have been OFA evaluated are all OFA Excellent.
His conformation debut was as a puppy, when he was named Best of Breed Golden Retriever at the Charleston Kennel Club AKC match, and he was also awarded a Sporting Group IV at that match. He had a few shows with a Junior Handler to learn what to do in the ring, then we began his performance training while he grew up enough to show in conformation for real.
Boss was in the ribbons every qualifying run of his RN, RA and RE titles. He placed every qualifying run to earn his CD title. Boss was 19 months old when he earned his SHR title, in two weekends (4 for 4). He earned his WC at less than 2 years old, and his WCX at 3 years old at the GRCA National Show. He earned his JH at 2 years old, and would have his SH if I had not had health issues.
As Summer 2012 began and heat set in, Boss went out for a trial run at conformation with WAG (Janice and Aaron) as he has such lovely shoulder layback and effortless movement we were sure judges would appreciate him. He has three majors in two weekends of showing and after a weekend off, finished his AKC CH with a total of 4 majors! He is an honest dog - he complete dentition, black pigment year round, and he is current on all clearances. He is available at stud to bitches who complement his type, have all their clearances, and whose owners wish to add what Boss has to offer to their lines. He ships well, with semen counts and mobility of a 2YO when he is now an old man! Frozen available to select bitches.
